United Hollywood’s Jeff Berman interviews Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery, Ed Helms, and Oscar Nuñez at their appearance in ‘The Armando Show’ this past Monday.
Yes, Michael Schur IS Ken Tremendous
Who the heck is Ken Tremendous, you ask?
If you follow baseball, or if you just love snarky sports writing, then you may have heard of a blog called Fire Joe Morgan — “Where Bad Sports Journalism Comes To Die.” (NSFW for profanity)
It’s been called one of the best sports humor sites online. (Not by me, because I don’t know anything about baseball, but it has been said.)
One of the key contributors to FJM is a writer who goes by the name of Ken Tremendous.
Well yesterday, The Office’s own Michael Schur outted himself as that writer. How so much wicked funny can come out of one dude … well that is tremendous.

Happy Birthday, OfficeTally!
OfficeTally turned two yesterday!
(What is that in blog years? Like, 11?)
Thanks to all the amazing people who supported OT this year — Matt, Mosby, Tori, Allison, Red, Jeff, Tess, Joanne, the kind folks of Scranton, and of course, the most wonderful and talented cast, writers, and staff of The Office.
I love the show. And I love to blog about the show. It continues to be a most pleasurable obsession.
Thanks, Tallyheads, for helping me chase that feeling.
Tipster: JimHalpertIsLife. (Yes, it took an OT tipster to remind me it was OfficeTally’s birthday yesterday. I need more sleep.)
Tallyheads report on ‘The Armando Show’
Tallyheads had a blast last night in Hollywood at iO West’s ‘The Armando Show’ co-starring Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery, Ed Helms, and Oscar Nuñez.
If you have a report, please send it my way!
Ileana’s Report
I went to the IO West last night to see Angela, Ed, Kate and Oscar perform at The Armando Show.
For anyone who doesn’t know about the show, it consist of what they call the “Armando” and a cast of professional improvisers. Someone from the audience gives a suggestion, the Armando tells a story based on the suggestion and then the improvisers perform in response to the Armando’s story.
The first Armando of the night was Kate Walsh (Gray’s Anatomy) and the second was Robert Ben Garant (Reno 911, Balls of Fury). Both were a lot of fun and the cast of improvisers did a great job adapting their stories.
Two of my favorite moments:
- Oscar trying to order a McNapoleon and a 6 ft. hash brown from McDonald’s drive-through. It was great to see Oscar’s expression when they got the hash brown into his car!
- Angela driving a plane with narcotics while her son sat in the back. Seeing Angela act as an angry mother was priceless!
After the show I had the chance to talk with Angela and Ed for a few minutes. They were both great!
My friend and I told Angela she made us nervous during the show because she kept moving from one side of the stage to the other with her lil’ baby bump. She just laughed and said she didn’t feel she moved as much as she normally does; but it was enough to make us nervous :)
Before saying goodbye we were able to get a picture with Ed and Angela and we left after that.
The Office really does have the greatest cast. The strike needs to end soon so they can get back to work!
‘The Office’ by The Simpsons writers
What if ‘The Office’ was written by The Simpsons writers? What if ‘Friday Night Lights’ was written by The Office writers?
The mind bobbles. Er, boggles.
(And careful, the illustrations may give you nightmares.)

‘Armando Show’ features Office cast
A reminder that Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery, Ed Helms, and Oscar Nuñez appear tonight in ‘The Armando Show’ at iO West in Hollywood.
“On February 4th the month-long STRIKE! The Armando WGA/SAG Solidarity Shows event will culminate in a star-studded strike support show, with 100% of the box office going to the Writers Guild Foundation Industry Support Fund.”
I hope Tallyheads will be in attendance and report back on the evening!
Update from Angela 5:40pm PT: Oscar will be there, too!
