Wow, Michael has an affair? I can’t believe he gets over Holly that fast. I am looking forward to seeing how the writers make this work!
I’m calling it now…Holly gets fired, gets a new job working at the Hotel in Canada, Michael has his “affair” with her.
Probably won’t happen but I don’t want to see Holly go. She is a great addition to the show.
Jkfan9989–I totally agree about Michael, his supposed affair, and Holly. If true, I wonder how the Michael and Holly story will end.
I’m a proud Winnipegger as well, so I’m excited to see what The Office has in store November 13th! I may be a teensy bit biased, but Winnipeg is a brilliant choice to use as a setting for an Office episode. I mean, who visits Winnipeg voluntarily? No one. It’s just not a cool place to go. Which is exactly why it’s the best place for Andy and Oscar to go.
I’m glad this is finally getting filmed… a little birdy told my friends and I at the Convention that this was in the works, but we didn’t know when.
#5 – Agreed! I only visit Winnipeg cause I have family there. Goin’ to The Peg…yeah!
YAY! I am a born and raised Winnipegger. It puts a smile on my face to see that Winnipeg will get to be part of Office history. :) Can’t wait to see the episode!
Well, I’m like 2300km away from Winnipeg and I’ve never even been to Manitoba, but I’m Canadian so this is still quite exciting!
i wonder if nbc will let us canadians watch the deleted scenes for that episode (for the first time ever), since the episode is going to be based in canada.
Go Canada! Wonder if Toby will be camping there… ha.
As a Winnipegger this episode has high expectations. It will probably take place mostly in the hotel with some exterior shots. Still it should be interesting to see how LA pulls off Winnipeg. Don’t tell him we are the murder capital of Canada!
Montreal too exotic for Michael xD
what about all episodes in NY??? I’m from Montreal and NY is MUCH more exotic than the french-canadian capital don’t you think?
Hahaha, Winnipeg!
Nice to know my city of adoption is “too sexy”. That’s right.
The “we’re the center of the world” Ontarian mental tic is rearing it’s ugly head though. What about Toronto?! (True story: my dad had a business meeting with a group based just outside of Albany who drove up, and while they were over for dinner they started talking about Utica. I almost lost it.)
Maybe Michael’s affair IS the end of the Holly/Michael story line. It’s hard to believe he’d cheat on her, though.
I would’ve picked Edmonton but that’s just me.
That’s awesome! I’ve been a Winnipegger my whole life, and can say that this is probably the biggest ‘Hollywood’ thing to happen since Keanu Reeves played Hamlet at the Manitoba Theatre Centre in 1996!
#2 (April) – I agree, super proud that Winnipeg is gonna go down in The Office history. Take THAT Vancouver, Montreal & Toronto.
Can’t wait!
Thank you Office writers for bringing a bit of Canada to the Office. First Creed’s deleted scene about living in Toronto a few days a week and now this.
Yeah! The Office is coming to Canada! (sort of!!!)
C’mon Kristin don’t sell our city short, there has been plenty of Hollywood related things since ’96 that are much bigger. Capote, Brad Pitt, J Lo, that behind the scenes Three’s Company TV Movie…. well maybe not that one.
Now with the dollar dropping again (so long south of the border shopping) we’ll probably see a rise in new productions. As long as there is no ‘eh’ jokes it should be fine.
Chris #11 – Winnipeg was dethroned awhile ago as the murder capital of Canada. Saskatoon now has that unenviable distinction.
I’m surprised they didn’t pick Regina. Michael would see that name on a map and have to go there right? I live two hours from there and hate to even think about visiting!
“The show is known for its irreverent humour and improvisational acting.”
What??? False.
So, I’m living in Winnipeg and watching the local news and all of a sudden they said “the office comes to winnipeg”… I got pretty excited until I realized that obviously they weren’t actually coming here. I laughed out loud though… it’s perfect. Winnipeg is not a place that anyone would really want to travel to, especially during this time of the year when it starts to you know, FREEZE. I can’t wait to see them make fun of this place, it definitely is no Montreal or Vancouver or Toronto (I’ve been to all of them)… Winnipeg is a perfect place for Michael, Andy and Oscar to come to because it is so un-exotic. LOVE IT! I’m hoping for some insider jokes!
Actually Winnipeg reclaimed the murder city capital (major city) just this week and Manitoba is still the provincial murder capital. Don’t worry, Saskatchewan is second.
YAY! Finally some love for the Canadian fans!
Eeee, this is so exciting! Finally I get to be in the little group of people that gets all the cultural references. Like the Bay! It took me a while in my youth to figure out The Bay=HBC=Zellers (=Canada’s 2008 Olympic apparel provider :/ ), but I did it a couple years ago.
I also recently moved out West and discovered Old Dutch chips. They are actually amazing. Also: Coffee Crisp.
I’m glad Anthony was oh “Eh” patrol, but to tell the truth I either say or think it once a day…so it might not be too outrageous to have someone say it.
I had no idea Anthony was Canadian! And we went to the same university!
I’m glad to hear he made sure they didn’t put any of those ridiculous Canadian stereotypes in. It’s always exciting to see Canada referenced, but it gets annoying when they’re constantly saying ‘eh’ and talking about polar bears. The only place I’ve ever seen a polar bear is at the zoo!
Thanks for posting all these links Tanster! It’s fun for us to see :)
