OfficeTally Tagline Contest, 2008

The quote randomizer is that thing you see at the top right corner of this page. It normally shows random quotes from the current episode.

During these long few months of summer, while we anxiously wait for Season 5 to start, I thought it would be fun to bring back the OfficeTally Tagline Contest. Let’s get the quote randomizer plumped up with your clever sayings!

Submit a tagline and you may win an Office goodie … see rules after the jump!

The Grand Prize includes:

One trip to Los Angeles, California, for winner and guest, and an opportunity for the winner to participate in a non-speaking walk-on role as an extra in the taping of an upcoming episode of “The Office.” Prize includes round-trip air travel, hotel accommodations for three nights, and ground transportation.

Participating NBC stations:

  • WMAQ Chicago, IL
  • WVIT Hartford, CT
  • KNBC Los Angeles, CA
  • WTVJ Miami, FL
  • WNBC New York, NY
  • KNSD San Diego, CA

The contest ends June 1st.

Unfortunately, as with last year’s contest, it’s limited to a few select cities. If you’re lucky enough to live in one of those cities, read the rules carefully and enter every day until June 1st, ’cause I want a Tallyhead to win this thing and report back!

I’ve added a link back to this page under “Activities” in the sidebar for your contest-entry convenience. :)

You know how much fun you’ll have if you win? Check out last year’s winner’s report.

Hey! Nielsen trivia challenge and interview

The OfficeHey! Nielsen is a TV and movie site brought to you by the same folks that put together the traditional Nielsen ratings.

They are running a trivia challenge (including OfficeTally questions!) and giving away a prize pack worth $1,000 — including a Sony PSP and Apple iPod nano!

They also interviewed me about OfficeTally, and I got to blab about my obsession. :)

‘Dan in Real Life’ giveaway

Steve Carell Dan in Real LifeOkay Tallyheads, this is not exactly Office-related, but I’ve got two “Dan in Real Life” DVDs (SRP $29.99) to give away!

I thought the movie was very sweet, and that Steve Carell made a great Everyman romantic lead. My favorite DVD extras were, of course, the outtakes (the first thing I ever go to on any DVD) and “the making of” featurette, which brought a tear to my eye.

Here’s a video clip from the film —
I call it Pancake Rage.
