Greg and B.J. live blog finale night

The Office Executive Producer Greg Daniels and writer/actor/producer/Cadbury egg inspector B.J. Novak will live blog next Thursday after the Season 3 finale airs on the East coast, 6pm PT/9pm ET.

P.S. Live blogging for The Office has been done a few times before — Jenna Fischer did it for ‘The Merger’ and Greg did it for ‘Branch Closing,’ both last November, and Greg Daniels did it for the Season 3 premiere ‘Gay Witch Hunt’ back in September.

The Weekend Tally

A relatively short Tally this week — I gotta go return things at the mall. :)

CBS to release own version of The Office

The Onion is reporting that CBS will be airing its own version of The Office — an idea which I believe is sadly misguided.

“You can’t just take a show that good, throw in a new set of actors, and expect the same results,” said Jennie Tan, who runs a popular fansite for the NBC show. “CBS just has to accept that there will simply never be another character like Michael Scott, ever.”

You got that right, Onion. You got that right.

The Office to become one-hour show?

CNNMoney.com posted an article today on NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker. Toward the end of the second page of the article is an intriguing tidbit about The Office:

At NBC’s “upfront” presentation to advertisers on May 14, Zucker says he expects NBC to unveil five new programs — three dramas, one comedy, and one reality show — for its fall schedule. Zucker and Reilly are considering stretching The Office to an hour and canceling the original Law & Order.

Brian and Angela in Scranton May 19th

As Brian Baumgartner mentioned in his latest MySpace blog, he and Angela Kinsey will be visiting Scranton on May 19th.

My source in Scranton says:

Yep, they are indeed coming here on the 19th. The itinerary hasn’t really been established yet, but it looks like it’ll include a rooftop party at one of the city’s downtown parking garages. And I imagine they will end up at the mall at some point.

I’ll post more details the minute I get them!
