Conflict Resolution

NBC.com’s synopsis of the episode Conflict Resolution, scheduled for May 4th:

CONFLICT OVER CONFLICT RESOLUTION DUTIES — When Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) takes over conflict resolution duties from the Human Relations department, chaos ensues at Dunder Mifflin. Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Melora Hardin and Paul Lieberstein also star.

TVGuide.com’s synopsis:

Michael’s highfalutin attempts to resolve conflicts in the office only serve to stir up petty differences and forgotten arguments among his employees, causing bedlam and tumult at Dunder Mifflin. Also, the workers get their ID photos taken; and (some) staffers receive Pam’s save-the-date notices for her wedding.

Hmm, any guesses on who won’t be receiving a wedding notice? ;)

TV Guide’s print synopsis:

Michael puts the “moron” in oxymoron when, for some ungodly reason, Dunder Mifflin’s HR department allows him to teach a conflict-resolution class.

The latest Office gossip from E!’s Kristin

In yesterday’s chat with Kristin of E! Online:

From Lynn: What happened to The Office?!

Fear not! It will be back. And the Jim and Pam storyline is heating up — big time! We won’t find out whether she marries Sir Doofalot before the season ends, but Jim will finally give her a very good reason not to. Yes, the feelings are coming out — and it’s gonna be squeal-worthy!

Hmm, what do you think “squeal-worthy” means? Another kiss perhaps?!

I can hardly freaking stand it!

Drug Testing

TV Guide reports that the episode “Drug Testing” is scheduled to air on April 27, with this description:

When half a joint is found on company property, Dwight dons his Lackawanna County volunteer deputy sheriff’s uniform (complete with badge) and launches an investigation. He brings in a professional drug tester — a turn of events that makes Michael nervous. Meanwhile, Jim and Pam play a game in which Jim is forbidden to speak.

NBC.com’s synopsis:

WHO SHOULD SHOOT THE ‘SHERIFF’? — When Dwight (Rainn Wilson) finds half a joint in the Dunder Mifflin parking lot, he puts on his volunteer sheriff’s uniform and launches a full investigation — prompting Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) to ask for an unusual favor. Pam (Jenna Fischer) playfully issues a challenge to Jim (John Krasinski) and he does his best to follow through with it. B.J. Novak, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Melora Hardin and David Denham also star.

Episode tidbits and deleted scenes

In addition to a list of quotes, I am starting to add trivia tidbits and deleted scenes to various episode pages.

For example:

  • Go to Health Care to see a picture and quotes for one of the funniest deleted scenes ever — Pam and Jim discussing Dwight’s attempts at signage for his office workspace.
  • Go to Valentine’s Day to find out who created Dwight’s bobblehead.
  • Go to Dwight’s Speech for the link to the website where Jim researched Mussolini.

As always, if you have suggestions on stuff to add, just add a comment to that episode’s page!

A week without The Office is like…

So today is Thursday.

Normally a day I really look forward to because we get a new episode of The Office. Or if not that, then we get to revisit a classic episode from last season like Diversity Day or Health Care.

So what happened this week? — absolutely no episode at all?!

Cruel, cruel, très cruel.

A week without The Office is like…

  • A morning without Starbucks.
  • A day without sunshine. (Which explains the weather we’ve been having in the SF Bay Area lately.)
  • Dwight with no cookie.

What is a week without The Office like for you?

USAToday.com: TV goes to the blogs

USAToday has posted an article about the power of the TV show blog here.

While this is nothing new to us Office fanatics, it’s interesting to see what other TV shows are jumping on the blog bandwagon.

No one does it as well as our Office cast, though! ;)

Speaking of which, don’t forget to take the survey — don’t let Grey’s Anatomy get all the credit …
