TV Guide videos

TVGuide.com just recently posted these videos, even though I think they were filmed months ago in New York during the upfronts (I recognize the blouse that Angela is wearing).

It’s a bit annoying that you can’t always hear the interviewer’s questions.

Jenna and Angela are fun and bubbly as usual. And it’s lovely to see B.J. and Mindy make an appearance together!

P.S. The videos may not play right away; give them time to stream.

Happy Birthday, Steve Carell!

steve carell

To celebrate Mr. Carell’s birthday today, check out one of my favorite video clips of Steve from the OfficeTally Video Archive:

Almost exactly one year ago, Steve returned to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and the visit was hilarious — the awkward long silence at the beginning of the appearance alone was worth the price of admission. Just brilliant.

Watch the video here. And Happy Birthday, Steve!

Dwight Schrute’s MySpace page

There was much excitement when Dwight Schrute (as penned by Rainn Wilson) joined the MySpace fray back in late February. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, Rainn shut down Dwight’s page shortly thereafter.

I managed to find Dwight’s old entries, and have posted them after the jump. Although he only posted five times, each and every entry exudes Schrute wit and wisdom.

Ah, the good ol’ days … enjoy!

SuicideGirls interviews Paul Lieberstein

Daniel Robert Epstein of SuicideGirls.com interviews Paul Lieberstein (a writer for The Office who also plays “Toby” the human resources guy).

This is one of the best writing-centric interviews I’ve read in awhile.

Here’s an excerpt:

DRE: In the casino episode Michael went all in on the first in a game of Texas hold ’em and Toby had a pretty darn good hand, two Jacks, but it’s not even two kings or two aces.

Paul
: It’s pretty clear that Michael was bluffing. It was a ridiculous thing to do. There was a very subtle little bit there because Toby is just willing to call him out. There was another scene with a suggestion box meeting. One of suggestions was “You have bad breath” and Michael said that could be for anyone and Toby said “Aren’t these suggestions for you?” That was past anything Toby had done before in terms of trying to insult Michael. It was a lot of fun saying that one little line.

Thanks, Daniel, for sending this in!
