Darryl wants your booty

craig robinson

In the club, that is.

Craig Robinson (“Darryl”) will be appearing at Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago next week. Click here for details; dates are also listed in the OT calendar.

Here is a video clip of what looks to be a pre-Office performance in Comedy Central’s stand-up showcase, “Premium Blend.”

Who knew that the Office cast was so musically talented? — first Creed Bratton (“Creed”), then Melora Hardin (“Jan”), and now Craig Robinson. I think there should be a Dunder Mifflin talent show so these folks can really strut their stuff. :)

Thanks to Matthew for the scoop!

(And if any of you make it to a show, please come back to OT and report in …)

Scrantonicity Request Line now open!

igI can’t think of a better way to conclude our little iPod Giveaway Contest than with the musical stylings of Scrantonicity.

The final question of the contest comes from Dunder Mifflin’s own Kevin Malone:

What song would you most like to hear from Scrantonicity, where, and why?

Please note: Kevin is a singing drummer …

You have until Saturday, August 19th at 11:59pm Pacific Time to add a comment. Please follow the rules!

P.S. Kev, I am so sorry for calling you at work! — I heard Angela yelling at you in the background for taking personal calls. Of course, Angela has called me inappropriate once before, so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. Sorry for harshin’ your mellow, dude.

Programming notes

  • First, just another reminder to vote for your favorite Office episode — the fan favorite will air next Thursday, August 17!
  • The latest scheduling press release shows an Office Marathon on August 24th — airing Michael’s Birthday, The Secret, and Drug Testing. I would take this with a grain of salt, though, as NBC has been known to schedule multiple episodes, and then yank back all but one come air day. Watch the OT Calendar for the latest updates!
  • Lastly, did you miss Steve Carell’s wonderfully long and funny visit with Craig Ferguson last night?

E!’s Kristin visits the Office set

Oh man, is this ever hysterical.

The luckiest Office reporter in the world, Kristin Veitch from E! Online, recently visited the set of The Office and met up with Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer. Hijinx ensues. That poor bobblehead!

Watch the video here.

Thanks, GMMR, for the tip!

The Office at WWDC

wwdc the office

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, WWDC, kicked off this morning with a keynote address led by Steve Jobs (pictured here), and he used a slide of The Office in his presentation!

Further proof that Apple loves The Office. And vice versa.

Read more about the WWDC keynote address here.

Thanks to John D’Arc for the tip, and to Peter Rojas at Engadget for allowing me to post this photo!
