NBC launching new broadband comedy channel

From the press release:

Keeping with its rich comedy heritage, NBC is launching a new broadband comedy channel. DOTCOMEDY.com will create a community around one of life’s universal pleasures — laughter. Anchored by some of NBC’s best-known franchises and library programs, this online channel will feature everything from classic comedy television shows to viral videos to renowned NBC late-night programming including content from “Saturday Night Live,” “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” the first ten years of “Late Night With David Letterman,” “The Office,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Dream On,” “Coach,” “Leave It To Beaver,” “The Munsters,” and much more. DOTCOMEDY.com will also feature original content produced exclusively for the site including blogs, mash-ups and podcasts.

I wonder if this is where the Office’s summer webisodes will appear.

The Office moves up an hour in the fall

NBC announced its new fall schedule today during the “upfronts” at Radio City Music Hall.

The Office will be airing an hour earlier, moving from 9:30pm to 8:30pm.

Here is the new Thursday lineup:

THURSDAY
8-8:30 p.m. “My Name Is Earl” (new time)
8:30-9 p.m. “The Office” (new time)
9-10 p.m. “STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP”
10-11 p.m. “ER”/(“THE BLACK DONNELLYS” in January 2007)

One less hour to wait! That’s good.

But I wonder if this means that Season 3 storylines will have to be tamer due to the move to “family hour.” Could an episode like Sexual Harassment (the only Office episode ever to earn the “viewer discretion advised” warning) air in the 8:30 slot?

‘Casino Night’ gossip from Jenna and Angela

Now that the ban on Casino Night gossip has been lifted, Jenna Fischer (“Pam”) and Angela Kinsey (“Angela”) have updated their MySpace blogs. More juicy details to come from these ladies, I’m sure.

Here’s a blurb from Jenna’s blog:

We all knew the plot but we closed down the set when we shot the “I love you scene” and the kiss. None of the other cast were around so they had no idea how it turned out. We did have a finale watching party with the cast. People were pretty surprised. They cheered. I sat next to Angela and she had her mouth open and her hands on her head the whole time.

WOW. That is absolutely AWESOME that the rest of the cast didn’t know how it turned out before it aired!
