Brian discussed what it was like working with Stephen Merchant and Amy Ryan, why he is ‘King of the Internet,’ and what food he’ll never be able to eat again, because of The Office. Thank you, Brian, for keeping the LOLs coming at a steady pace!

Brian Baumgartner: we do. since we filmed that episode, we have had them in various stages of use. Mine currently has M and Ms in it

Brian Baumgartner: Besides being a total ass…. Stephen is great

Brian Baumgartner: he is an executive producer… so of course i only have great things to say about him
Brian Baumgartner: no, i would say…
Aimee: I just wiki’d stephen merchant. My bad.
Brian Baumgartner: he was much more concerned with character development and actor process than a lot of our current directors
Brian Baumgartner: found him great to work with, and have on set… the process in the US is quite different than UK, so he has some adjustments with that
tanster: is the UK process slower or faster paced?
Brian Baumgartner: but come on… he is one of the 2 creators, so that was really fun
Brian Baumgartner: hmmm… UK they spend much MORE time on episodes
Brian Baumgartner: so we shoot more material faster
tanster: yeah the office schedule seems pretty tight

Man, I saw that he was there but I don’t know how to create an account for the chat room. Every time I try to get on the chat I try to click, “create an account” or something along that lines but it never works. It won’t let me click it. I wanted to get in there so bad. Oh well.
