How should ‘The Office’ end?

How should The Office end?

I teared up reading Tallyhead MuckMallard’s idea for how The Office could end:

I had a crazy idea for the final scene of the series: a pre-teen Cece and Philip are watching the “documentary” alongside a gleeful Uncle Michael & Auntie Holly. Michael says something to the effect of, “and that is how your dad met your mother”. There’s a knock at the door, and Holly answers, and in come a beaming Jim & Pam. They all exchange pleasantries, and Jim & Pam thank Michael & Holly for watching the kids. Michael asks, “So how was the art exhibit?” to which Jim simply says, “Beesly knocked it out of the park.” Then Jim & Pam share one of their patented wordless smiles. End credits

How do you think The Office should end?

Angela Kinsey joins ‘The Gabriels’ pilot

May 9 update: FOX has passed on ‘The Gabriels.’

From Deadline:

Angela Kinsey is set as the female lead opposite Rob Riggle in Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot The Gabriels… The Gabriels centers on a gleefully antisocial family learning to act normal and make friends for the sake of their kids. Kinsey… will play the mom, Gail Gabriel. A therapist by profession, Gail is the slightly more mature member of her marriage than her husband Ken (Riggles). Co-starring in the pilot is Tim Meadows as the local school principal. Earlier this season, Kinsey, along with Rachael Harris, were attached to star in another comedy project for Fox, which had a put pilot commitment. Kinsey’s deal for The Gabriels closed after the dates for the pilot could be worked around her filming The Office series finale.

Congratulations, Angela!

Dunder Mifflin ad banned in Scranton, airs in Utica

Quill’s Dunder Mifflin paper products will air an ad during ABC’s broadcast of the Oscars Sunday night. But because the ABC affiliate in Scranton banned the ad due to the product’s tie to NBC, the ad will air in Utica, NY, instead.

Utica has a special place on “The Office,” as the arch rival branch to the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin at the heart of the series.

Scranton’s loss is Utica’s gain. Utica! Utica!

Here’s the ad, entitled “The Battle.”

If you missed their Super Bowl ad that aired in Scranton, here’s Paper War.
