The New York Post talks with Rainn Wilson:
Wilson learned acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and subsequently lived in New York for 12 years in a number of different neighborhoods — from East Harlem to Fort Greene.
He and his wife — who now have one child, Walter, 2-1/2 — moved to L.A. in the mid-’90s after their Fort Greene landlord bought out their lease. “I came out to L.A. and I booked a pilot and two movies within my first month of coming out,” he says, “and so I thought, ‘Well, God is telling me something. I need to stay here for a while.’ ”

I think this is post- worthy!
Rainn needs to do his own version of “Dick in a Box” on SNL this week
Just a small accuracy note in defense of characters played by Rainn Wilson: In Six Feet Under, Arthur definitely did NOT send the box of human waste; another character admitted doing it. They left it ambiguous for a while after the recipient fired him, and then oddly, I thought, never had his accuser (the recipient) apologize to him or have any further encounter with him after she wrongly accused him and dismissed him.
Omg “Dick in a Box” was so funny!
Anyways I thought Rainn was 39?
He’s a slightly strange guy, as I think he himself would agree, but I really appreciate the consistent effort and professionalism he puts in on the show. I hope he gets an emmy nomination this year, he deserves it.
NSpector~ I was really irritated with Ruth for not apologizing to Arthur after finding out the feces was not sent by him. : (
41?! Whoa. I wouldn’t have thought that. I can’t wait for SNL with Rainn.

Yes, I found that weird and kind of out of character for Ruth, though I guess she was sort half cocked at the time. Still though, I wondered if it was an oversight on the writers’ part. But that would be a pretty huge oversight . . . I don’t know. It’s strange.
